Fifteen People Rescued in Dundee Fire

Fifteen people living in a block of flats in Dundee have been rescued after fire broke out in a tenement block.

Tayside Fire and Rescue said they were trying to contain the blaze in Garland Place - but operations have been hampered by inadequate water supplies.The fire broke out in the five storey building shortly before 22:30 on Wednesday. Two residents were treated for the effects of breathing in smoke and one firefighter suffered a minor injury.People in adjoining tenements have been taken to rest centres or gone to stay with friends and family.
